A page that only lists what a thing is good at is an advertisement. These are the gaps we know about, written down before the purchase rather than found after it. Each one is a real reason to close this tab.

Nothing syncs.
Seamloft keeps one local database on one phone, and it has no server to copy it to. A new phone means exporting the bundle and importing it by hand, a two-minute job you have to remember to do. If you sew across a tablet and a phone and want both current, this is the wrong app.

There is no catalogue to browse.
Seamloft holds the patterns you already bought, from the designers you already chose. That is the whole premise, and the cost of it is that there is nothing here on a slow evening: no new releases, no recommendations, no shelf to wander. Discovery still happens where you buy.

You cannot write on the pattern page.
Notes and measurements attach to the project, not to the PDF. If your habit is marking up the pattern itself, a lengthened bodice or a redrawn armhole, version one will not hold that, and you will keep doing it on paper.

Right if there is a second thing cut out before the first is hemmed, or the shelf outgrew three patterns. The struck numbers are the free ceilings it lifts. Nothing else changes.
Which one? If more than one make is ever open at a time, Pro. If not, stay on Free. The cutting list, the fit check and the export are all in it, permanently. The paywall only ever stops the fourth pattern; it never reaches back for the first three.

Your store’s own sheet opens
Apple’s or Google’s, with Face ID or your password. They hold the card; Seamloft never sees a number and has no way to charge you again.
It unlocks straight away
Back to the pattern you were adding, plus a receipt from the store by email. If the purchase fails, nothing is charged and the app says so.
No card fields, no account, no invoice from us. That is also why a refund is asked of the store rather than of Seamloft.
Where the payment happens
Inside the app, through the App Store or Google Play. Seamloft never sees or stores a card. There is no checkout on this website and no account to create.
Refunds
Handled by the store you bought from, on their terms, from your purchase history. If a refund goes through, everything you already made stays on your phone and unlocked. Nothing is taken back.
If the price ever changes
It changes for new buyers only. A purchase already made is not re-charged, re-tiered, or converted into a subscription later.

Where do my patterns live?
On your phone, in a local database. Seamloft has no account system and no server of its own. Your pattern files never travel anywhere.
Can I get my data out?
Anytime, free: one tap exports everything. Projects, stash, measurements (JSON + CSV) and your original pattern files, bundled.
What happens if I never pay?
The free tier is full-featured and permanent; projects, patterns, and stash you’ve already created never lock behind a paywall.
And if I want out entirely?
Settings has one row that deletes everything Seamloft holds on the phone, after a confirmation that spells out what goes. Two things survive it: the original PDFs in your Files app, which Seamloft only ever copied, and your Pro purchase, which restores from the store without a second payment.

Patterns & files3
No, and it never will. Seamloft holds zero pattern content of its own. You bring the PDFs you already bought from indie designers, Etsy shops or the big pattern houses, plus your own scans; Seamloft files them, tags them, and keeps the yardage table sitting next to the cutting list.
PDFs and image files. Multi-size layered PDFs come in as they are, and large-format copyshop sheets import too. Each pattern carries a new / printed / A0 status so you know which version is already sitting in the cupboard.
Not in version one. Annotation is first in the queue after launch. What version one does keep is fit notes held against the pattern: lengthen front bodice 2 cm, deepen the armscye 1 cm. Start a new project from that same pattern and the notes come with it.
Privacy & your data3
Nowhere. Pattern files stay in local storage on the device, indexed by a local database. There is no account system or product server for them to travel to. The app’s disclosed network paths are store/RevenueCat entitlement and nine closed anonymous PostHog events; neither carries pattern files, measurements, fabric details, or free text.
They sit on your device with everything else, and the app never scores, ranks or comments on them. Measurement profiles exist for exactly one job: to stand beside a pattern’s own size chart so you can read the two together and decide for yourself. No recommendation engine, no opinions.
Export first. One tap bundles projects, stash and measurements as JSON + CSV together with your original pattern files; you import that bundle on the new phone, and your Pro purchase restores through the store in one tap.
There is no cloud sync in version one. That is the trade for having no account and no server.
Paying for it4
Every feature, with a ceiling on volume: one active project, three patterns, ten fabrics in the stash. Nothing is greyed out, nothing is a teaser, and the free tier doesn’t expire or quietly shrink later.
One thing only: creating something new past those limits. Whatever you made while free stays open, editable and exportable, including if you decide never to pay a penny.
Refunds run through the store you bought from (App Store or Google Play), from your own purchase history, on their terms. Seamloft has no checkout of its own to refund from, and no way to stop you asking.
The path, in full: open reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in → find Seamloft Pro · $19.99 in the list → choose Request a refund, pick a reason, submit. Apple decides and emails you; we are never asked and cannot influence it. On Android the same request lives in Google Play’s order history. The app shows you these three steps too, next to Restore purchase. There is no subscription to cancel, so this is the whole of “stopping”.
What happens on the phone afterwards is the part we control: nothing is deleted and nothing re-locks. You go back to the free tier with every project, pattern and fabric you already added still open and still editable. Buying again later costs the same $19.99, once.
None. No subscription SKU exists to hide behind a trial. Pro is $19.99 once and covers every v1.x update. If the price ever moves it moves for new buyers, never retroactively, and never for something you already own.
